Transas Full mission Ship Handling Simulator
Western Shipping Manila Training Centre has full Mission Bridge Simulator with 6 work stations, with model TRANSAS NTPRO 5.35. A range of ship models are available from Handy size to VLCC. The 3D visual display provided enhances the ‘life-like’ experience.
The simulator models are based on real-time programming, thus enabling replication of the dynamic behavior of vessels, their individual handling characteristics, operational parameters, interaction with associated sub-systems and exercise-based environment selection capabilities.
The trainees will experience a ‘hands-on’ approach to honing their ship handling skills to use the ‘forces under their control’ to overcome the ‘forces beyond their control’, thereby accruing and appreciating the knowledge, understanding and proficiencies required of a ‘Ship Handler’.
