History – Western Shipping

Western Shipping Pte Ltd. (also known as WESTSHIP) was set up in Singapore under the name of Western Shipping Agencies Pte Ltd. in 1987 with primary focus to conduct agency business and crew management. By 2006, Company was managing 10 ships and it was considered that a change of name to Western Shipping Pte Ltd, would portray a better profile for the company, accordingly name was changed. By then, though agency and crewing activities were ongoing, technical management became the main business activity. WESTSHIP specializes in managing fleet of oil, chemical and Gas Tankers including specialised dual fuel Gas Tankers providing technical and crewing solutions to ship owners for ships engaged in marine transportation of crude/clean petroleum products, chemical and Gas.

Sep 2000

WESTERN SHIPPING PTE LTD. was introduced to align with core activities as the Company moved towards Tanker management.

Sep 2006

Company was renamed “Western Shipping Pte Ltd” with management of 10 Oil/Product/Chemical Tankers.

Sep 2021

Commenced management of 1st Gas Carrier changing from Anglo Eastern to bring them in-house from 22 September 2021.

Another milestone for the Company to manage Dual Fuel Gas Carrier from Day 1 since delivery on 08 October 2021.

Jan 2023

Newbuilding Dual Fuel Gas Carrier Nymfaion Lady was delivered to the Company from Shipyard on 13 January 2023.

Another Newbuilding Dual Fuel Gas Carrier Chrysopigi Lady will be delivered in Aug 2023.
